PapaPapa Home privacy policy
Effective 1 October 2026.
PapaPapa Home is a shared planner for one household: tasks, lists, groceries, meals and events, shared between the people who live together. This page says what the app keeps about you, why, and how to make it go away. In short: we keep what the app needs to work, we do not track you, and we do not sell or share anything for advertising.
What we keep
- Your account: your email address, which you sign in with (through Apple or a passcode email), the display name you or your household choose, and the account identifier our server knows you by.
- Your household's content: tasks, lists, groceries, meals, events and their schedules, and who each one is for.
- Photos: photos of members, including children, photos of pets, and the household's cover photo, when someone in the household adds them.
- Your phone: a device identifier the app creates when installed, and the push token Apple gives it, so notifications reach the right phone.
- Server logs: records of requests to our server: which request was made, when, and whether it worked, so we can find and fix faults. They are kept for 31 days.
Children
An adult in a household can add a child as a member. Children can have their own accounts and sign in on their own phones, inside a household an adult runs. What we keep about a child is the same as for anyone: a display name, their photo if one is added, what is assigned to them, and, if they have an account, their email address. The app has no advertising and no contact with anyone outside the household. An adult in the household can remove a child, which removes the child from the household and deletes their photo.
What stays on your phone
If you turn on Tasks in Reminders or Events in Calendar, the app keeps a PapaPapa list and calendar on your phone and reads back only those, so a task you tick there is ticked here too. Nothing else in your Reminders or Calendar is read or sent to us.
The app keeps a log of its own errors on your phone, without your household's content. It leaves the phone only if you use Report a Problem, which sends it with your app version, device model, iOS version and anything you write, and it is emailed to us so we can help.
Who else handles it
- Microsoft Azure (United States) hosts our server, database and photos.
- Auth0 signs you in, keeps your sign-in email, and records sign-in times and IP addresses for security.
- SendGrid sends the passcode email, and delivers support messages to us.
- Apple provides Sign in with Apple and delivers notifications.
They process data only to provide those services to us. There is no analytics or advertising service in the app. We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
Deleting your data
In the app, open Account, tap your name, then Delete Account. Your account, your photo and your personal records are deleted straight away. Things you added to a household, such as tasks and lists, stay with that household. Households you own pass to another adult in them, or are deleted with everything in them if there is none. Copies in backups are gone within 7 days, and server logs within 31. If you cannot open the app, use the form on our support page from the email you sign in with.
Writing to us
When you use the support form, your email address, name and message are sent through SendGrid and emailed to us so we can answer you. They are not stored on our server.
